October Fishing Report 2012
This month the Inshore fishing has been Amazing and the Offshore Fishing has been very constantly productive. The Red Fish are All over the Inner islands around fish creek and Homosassa on the High tides and in pot holes around the islands on the low tides. Grouper have been moving in and the mangrove snapper have covered almost every inshore rocks, on one charter we got about 40 mangrove snapper and a dozen short gag grouper and a Hog Fish off of one rock in 4 feet of water using shrimp on small jig heads and light leader. I have also been hearing some good reports about fishing the dirty water north of the barge canal, lots of trout and redfish. So the Fish to look for this October is the Trout bight in 2-3 feet of water around the islands between Homosassa and Crystal River, wait for the low tide and throw live shrimp into the pot holes or white spots in-between the islands and you will catch some nice trout. I still have a few openings for October so call and book a trip today so I can put you on some fish!
