Homosassa Fishing Report
Today was another exciting day aboard the Night Life with Captain Zach Hoffman! We started out the morning at MacRae’s of Homosassa around 730 am, with one goal in mind, wear out those pesky ole Red Grouper One last time before they close for 2 months. And boy did we get er done…. I ran out 30 miles from marker 4 and fished a 1 square mile box all day. We got about 10 or so Amber Jack that we released and over a hundred red Grouper through out the day. We even got a 14 inch sea bass on a spro jig while tearing up some Fire Trucks. The bait of choice today was the cut lizard fish and sand perch. Can’t wait for the grouper to open back up so I can get my clients back out there and on some more fish!!
The trout bite is really good right now, this is the time to do a trout trip, because they are all over the outer islands, along with the pompano, fishing this time of year really makes for some beautiful days!
These pictures are from back to back days where my clients were able to limit out on red grouper, both days we left them biting! There are still many many many more to be caught!
